Parent Account Information

  • First and last name
  • Password (stored securely, never in plain text)
  • Family name
  • Timezone

Child Profile Information

Child profiles are created and managed by parents. We collect:

  • Display name (chosen by the parent)
  • Username (for login purposes)
  • Age or date of birth (optional, provided by parent)

Usage Data

  • Goals, chores, and habits created within the family
  • Wallet balances and transaction history
  • Reward redemptions
  • Guide reading activity

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Famity platform
  • Authenticate users and manage sessions
  • Send verification emails and password resets
  • Process subscription payments (via Stripe)
  • Send co-parent invitations
  • Improve the Service and develop new features

4. Children's Privacy

Famity is designed with children's privacy in mind. We comply with applicable children's privacy regulations:

  • Child accounts are created and managed solely by parents or guardians.
  • Children do not provide any personal information directly to us.
  • Child data is isolated within the family and is not shared with third parties.
  • Parents can view, edit, or delete their child's data at any time.
  • Children cannot make purchases or access billing information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Supabase — for authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe — for payment processing (parent billing information only).
  • Email providers — for sending transactional emails (verification, invitations, notifications).

All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection obligations.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using cloud infrastructure. We implement:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
  • Row-level security ensuring family data isolation
  • JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens
  • Secure password hashing

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
